Google Cloud Platform

Google Cloud Platform – The future base for your e-commerce

As a certified Google Cloud Partner, we offer first-class advice and services on the Google Cloud Platform and enable our customers to expand their e-commerce solutions and environments with future-proof Google Cloud Platform products.

Why the Google Cloud Platform?

In the field of SAAS / MACH e-commerce providers, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions have established themselves as the preferred choice. Examples are:

Commercetools

commercetools: As an infrastructure partner and popular hosting option, commercetools relies on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Additional ML-based features such as Category Recommendations are available exclusively for GCP. To expand the e-commerce solution, commercetools offers subscriptions that support the integration of Google Cloud Pub/Sub.

EMPORIX

Emporix: As a partner of Google Cloud, Emporix offers a scalable and flexible e-commerce solution that is also based on cloud services

When implementing e-commerce projects, it is often necessary for our customers to be able to host their own extensions. Here, GCP not only offers technological congruence, but also added value through features that have the same technology provider. This reduces latency when services are hosted in the same data center. In addition, the costs for our customers are lower compared to other providers such as AWS and Azure, and the platform itself is characterized by a user-friendly setup.

Our services in connection with the Google Cloud Platform

1. Expanding SAAS E-Commerce

Modern SAAS e-commerce solutions are usually self-contained and do not allow any or only very limited functional expansions within the solution platform. With the Google Cloud Platform we help our customers with the extension of their Commerce APIs through provided integration features.

3. Implementation of headless frontends

We develop frontends for e-commerce solutions or microsites for dedicated use cases based on react, vue.js and GraphQL. The Google Cloud Platform provides the appropriate infrastructure for this.

2. Implementation of company-owned e-commerce applications

Based on modern MACH architecture principles, we develop customer-specific solutions and extensions of e-commerce frameworks. Especially in B2B, there are often requirements that are not covered by standard e-commerce solutions. We ensure that these use cases are implemented in a technologically clean manner, e.g. in the form of microservices, and hosted in the Google Cloud Platform. Examples:

  • Externalized shopping cart calculation by the ERP backend
  • Customer-specific price and availability calculation
  • Setup of a content delivery network for high-performance page views for international presences

4. Data-driven business models

“Every company will eventually become a data company”. We enable our customers to take the step towards data-driven business models by using Google Cloud products for:

  • Collecting data
  • Analyzing data
  • Monetizing data

We understand collecting against the background of large amounts of data. In e-commerce, this can include transactional data such as order fulfillments, chronological snapshots of inventory or web interaction data. But it is also conceivable to record data from a wide variety of touchpoints, e.g. IoT sensor data.

The data collected can be analyzed, visualized or used as the basis for ML models, which can then be used to make predictions, detect anomalies, increase conversion rates or generally improve customer satisfaction.
